the difference 6 months of dollar bin diving made to my collection

I started hitting the 50 cent bins at my local shop every saturday in april. At first i just grabbed anything with a cover i liked. Now i got a stack of 40 books that actually tell a story about what i like - mostly early 90s x-men run offs and weird indie horror. The trick was learning to pass on stuff just because its cheap. Has anyone else seen their tastes change after digging through the cheap boxes for a while?

@seth_green85 hit it on the head about the wallet part. Those 50 cent bins in April made me realize how easy it is to grab junk just because its cheap, not because you actually want it. After a few months you start knowing what to skip and your stack gets a lot more focused.
