Just realized I used to buy every single #1 issue, but now I just wait for the trade paperback.

Back in 2015, I'd be at the comic shop every Wednesday and drop like $40 a week on floppies, but I got tired of the constant crossovers and event tie-ins. Now I just wait six months for the collected edition, which saves me money and shelf space. Does anyone else feel like the monthly grind just isn't worth it anymore?

It's just comics, not a life choice. You're still buying the same stories.

Remember when Marvel did that whole Secret Wars thing and you needed a chart to read anything... xena_anderson has a point that it's the same story, but man, the experience is different. I missed a single issue of that Spider-Man tie-in and the next one made zero sense. Now my shelf is just neat rows of trades instead of long boxes of confusion.
