I used to keep a paper pull list at my shop in Akron, now I track 14 titles on my phone
For about 8 years I had a standing pull list at a shop on West Market Street and every Wednesday I would walk in and grab my stack from the box with my name on it. The owner retired in 2019 and the new guy wanted everyone to use a web form instead, so I fought it for a few months before giving in. Now I get a text at 11am every Tuesday telling me what shipped, and I pick up on Thursday when the crowd dies down. I still miss flipping through the new releases wall and spotting something I never would have ordered blind. Does anyone else feel like the app makes it easier but you end up reading the same 5 writers forever?
The app makes it easier but you read the same 5 writers forever, is that really the app's fault though? If anything the web form should make it simpler to add weird indie books you'd never grab off the wall. Sounds more like a you problem than a tech problem.
