I finally organized my collection by artist instead of character

It took me a weekend and I found three issues I'd been hunting for years, just sitting in different boxes. Has anyone else tried this and found a hidden gem?

Wait, so you're telling me I spent all those years alphabetizing by character like some kind of filing clerk when I could've just been rediscovering my own books? Maybe I'll try it this weekend and pretend I'm a fancy art collector instead of a guy with too many cardboard boxes in his basement.

Always sorted by character before, figured it was the only way to keep teams together. Tried it by artist on a whim last year and it was a total game changer. You start seeing runs you never noticed, and how a penciler's style changes over time. Found a signed McFarlane Spider-Man I forgot I even owned. It just makes you look at the books differently.
