Had a guy at a con try to quiz me on my favorite character's backstory

I was at New York Comic Con last October just flipping through a booth and this random dude comes up, says he saw my Flash shirt, and starts grilling me on Wally West's 90s run. He literally stood there waiting for me to mess up. Has anyone else dealt with gatekeepers trying to test your knowledge at events?

Read an article saying this happens way more with speedster characters for some reason.
