Finally caved and bought a proper long box for my collection
My old cardboard boxes were falling apart (I'm talking tape on tape at this point). I dropped about $25 on a sturdy plastic long box from the local shop last Friday. It took me a whole afternoon to carefully move everything over, but now my runs are safe and I can actually find things. Anyone else have a better storage solution that doesn't break the bank?

Long boxes are good for transport, but they can put pressure on the bottom books over time. Short boxes are better for permanent storage.

Isnt it funny how the thing thats best for moving stuff is always the worst for keeping it safe long term.

Twenty-five dollars for a single long box? My local shop sells the same plastic ones for fifteen. That price difference would cover a pack of new bags and boards. I hope yours came with some extra features for that cost, like reinforced corners or a locking lid. It's still a good upgrade from falling apart cardboard, but that markup is hard to swallow.
