Back when comic fans really connected at the local store

I mean, back in the day, we would all gather at the comic shop on Saturdays. People brought their new books and talked about stories for hours. Like, I made a friend just because we both liked the same Iron Man run. Now, it seems like fans mostly chat on forums or social media. You don't see those same groups hanging out in person anymore. It's kind of sad because those talks felt more real. Maybe it's just me, but I wish we could bring some of that back.

My local shop in Denver hosts a weekly drawing night that brought back that old vibe. Try asking the owner if you can set up a casual get-together for new issue days. We got about ten regulars to show up every Wednesday, and it felt just like the Saturdays you mentioned. It takes one person to get the ball rolling!

Hey, can digital chats ever feel that real too?
