Vent: My laptop blue screened in the middle of my final paper submission

It was 11 PM last Tuesday night in my dorm at State College. I had 5 pages of my history final done when everything froze and then went to that ugly blue screen. Autosave didn't catch the last 30 minutes of edits, so I had to rewrite half of it from memory in a panic. Has anyone else had their computer crap out right at the worst possible moment?

Isn't it wild how technology always seems to fall apart at the exact moment we need it most, like the universe just loves testing our limits? I had my phone die mid-important call last week and it made me wonder if everything's secretly on a timer to break at the worst possible second.

omg YES @uma_reed26 this is so true. its like life has this built in sense of humor where everything breaks at the worst possible time. my internet went down right in the middle of submitting a deadline and that was two days of pure chaos trying to fix it. its like the universe knows exactly when to throw a wrench in things to make everything harder than it needs to be. honestly i think its just part of the deal with depending on any gadget or service, theyre all secretly one glitch away from ruining your day.
