Vent: My group project partner copied my entire section and turned it in before me

It was last fall in the library at Ohio State, I had 3 hours of research written up and she literally copy-pasted it 10 minutes before the deadline. Has anyone else had a teammate steal your work and somehow get away with it?

eh that sucks but like is this really worth getting worked up over? it's just one group project grade, not the end of the world.

yeah i get what you're saying but i actually read something the other day about how group projects in college are this huge stressor for a lot of people, like more than exams even. there was this article about how it's not just the grade, it's the whole dynamic of relying on people who don't pull their weight and then getting stuck with the fallout. one bad project can tank your gpa if you're on a scholarship or trying to get into grad school. plus the whole thing about learning to work with difficult people is supposed to be a skill, but when the system doesn't actually punish the slackers, it just feels unfair. so yeah, maybe it's not the end of the world, but it's still frustrating when you're the one doing all the work and someone else coasts on your effort.
