The worst Wednesday of my semester started with a blown fuse in my dorm at 7 AM

I was in the middle of printing my 10 page history paper that was due at 10 and the whole floor lost power. The library printers were down too so I had to run to a copy shop on Main Street and pay $8 to print it. Then my professor said my thesis was weak and I got a C on the paper. Has anyone else had a day where everything just went wrong before class even started?

Ugh I used to think mornings like that were just bad luck and you just push through. Had a similar thing happen last year where my car battery died literally as I was about to leave for a final exam. Missed the bus, got there late, bombed the test. But like your professor saying your thesis was weak? That stings way worse than the printer stuff. Honestly never realized how much small things add up until that day. Now I try to build in extra time for everything, even if it feels annoying, because one broken fuse can really mess up your whole flow. Hope the rest of your week got better.

Actually I gotta push back a little on the battery thing. From what I've seen, car batteries don't usually just die out of nowhere like that. They give you warning signs first - slow cranking, dim lights, that kind of thing. I know because I ignored those signs for like two weeks last winter and got stranded at a grocery store parking lot. Your mileage may vary but most batteries will start acting weird a few days before they fully quit. Not saying it couldn't have happened that way though, sometimes you just get unlucky. Either way I feel your pain on the exam thing, that's rough.
