The average student changes majors 3 times, and my advisor told me that's actually low
I sat down with my advisor at the start of junior year and she mentioned the average student switches majors about 3 times before graduating, which made me feel way less bad about ditching pre-med for environmental science in October. She also said the stat comes from a 2018 national study, not just her gut. Did anyone else get told a number like this, or did your school never bring it up?
