PSA: don't schedule 8am classes if you live 40 minutes off campus
I made this mistake two semesters back and it wrecked me. I had a stats class at 8am, and my commute from my apartment in Rivertown was 40 minutes on a good day. That meant leaving at 7:10 to find parking, which meant waking up at 6:15. I missed 4 classes total because I overslept or hit traffic on the bridge. My grade slipped from a B+ to a C, and I had to beg the professor for extra credit just to pass. If you're picking classes for next term, check your drive time first and don't touch anything before 10am. Has anyone else had a commute totally tank their attendance?
