I kinda think the real issue is we're too scared to take breaks, like stepping away for 10 minutes would actually save us time in the long run. You tried getting fresh air after the first hour?

Gotta ask, how long did it take you to actually catch the typo once you looked at it fresh? Like did you spot it in two seconds or did you have to sit there squinting and reading it over and over? I'm curious if the break actually helped or if you just got lucky seeing it after the fact. Sometimes I wonder if our brains just need that reset, not even for the eyes but for the whole mental process of editing.
