Spent $60 on a decent code editor and it was worth every penny
I was using Notepad++ for months because free felt fine, but it kept crashing on bigger projects. Bought Sublime Text on a whim and it handled a 2000-line Python file without even blinking. Anyone else hit a wall trying to save money on tools?

You mentioned "Sublime Text" but that's actually $99 for a license, not $60. Unless you caught it on sale, you might have bought something else or a single-user version that doesn't include future updates. Just want to make sure you got the right product for what you paid.

Yeah that's rough. @olivia_chen35 you're totally right to point that out. I bought a Sublime license a few years back and it was definitely $99. Maybe they saw an old post or a third party deal that was expired. It's so easy to get confused with all the different pricing tiers out there. Hate when that happens, feels like you're getting ripped off for a sec.
