Spent 6 hours debugging a missing semicolon in JavaScript
Started a simple project last Tuesday. Took a whole Saturday to figure out my code wouldn't run. Checked every line three times. Finally found a missing semicolon on line 47. Six hours for one tiny character. Now I use a linter every single time. Anyone else waste crazy time on something this dumb?

Wait, @thomas_young, but what if that semicolon taught you something bigger than just using a linter? Six hours of pain means you'll never forget that lesson, which is way more valuable than catching it in two seconds. That kind of deep learning sticks with you forever.

Tbh that's brutal. Nothing worse than something that tiny eating up your whole day.
