Showerthought: I got so much more done when I just used print statements instead of learning the debugger
Two years ago I would sprinkle print("here 1") all over my code and call it a day, but six weeks ago I forced myself to learn breakpoints in VS Code and now I barely touch print. The weird part is I think my old print habit made me read my code more carefully, because I had to guess where things broke instead of just pausing on a line. Last Tuesday a bug in a 200 line Python script took me 4 minutes with the debugger after I wasted an hour staring at prints that kept saying everything was fine. So which camp are you in, print and run or breakpoints and step through, and did you ever switch back?
