Picked Python over JavaScript for my first language - and I regret it

I was told Python was 'easier to learn' but three months in I realized nobody hires beginners for Python jobs near me. JavaScript got me my first freelance gig after only 6 weeks of study. Has anyone else felt stuck after choosing the 'wrong' starter language?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I did the exact same thing. Everyone kept saying Python was the way to go, that it would teach me good habits and be easier to wrap my head around. So I spent months grinding through tutorials and building little projects, feeling pretty good about myself. Then I started looking for actual work and realized the only Python jobs around me wanted a computer science degree or years of experience. Meanwhile, my buddy who picked up JavaScript in a few weeks landed a simple website fix for a local business and was making money right away. I wish someone had told me that "beginner friendly" doesn't always mean "job market friendly," especially with Python.
