Noticed a city library in Denver started a coding club for absolute beginners last month
Walked in to print something and saw a full classroom of older folks learning how to make a basic website with HTML, has anyone else seen libraries leaning into this kind of free tech education?

Right? I saw the same thing at my library last month. They had a whole room of seniors huddled around laptops trying to figure out what a tag even is. It was cute but also a little sad because the instructor was explaining basic HTML like it was rocket science and half the class was just staring at the screen. Guess librarians are tired of shushing people and decided to teach them how to break the internet instead. HTML is not that complicated though, feels like they could have started with something easier like a simple text editor. But hey, at least it keeps them out of the grocery store aisles at 2pm.
