My first real program worked after I got help from a guy at the library
I was stuck for hours on a simple Python script that wouldn't run. This older guy at the computer lab in the downtown library saw me looking upset and asked what was wrong. He leaned over, pointed at my screen, and said, 'You're missing a colon at the end of your if statement.' It was such a tiny thing, but it fixed everything and made me feel less alone. Has anyone else had a small piece of help make a huge difference when starting out?

Check the library's computer use policy first.

Yeah, and maybe print it out to be safe.
