Just realized most coding bootcamps hide their real graduation stats
I was digging through some course reviews on a site called Course Report last night and found out that some popular coding bootcamps only have a 60 to 70 percent graduation rate. They advertise like everyone finishes and gets a job, but the fine print shows a lot of people drop out before the end. I even saw one bootcamp's own report where they counted anyone who watched 10 minutes of a video as a student. That blew my mind because I spent months saving up for a full-time program thinking it was a sure thing. Now I'm rethinking which bootcamp to pick and wondering how many people actually land developer jobs after paying 15 grand. Has anyone else found raw numbers that made you question a bootcamp's marketing?

And like they probably lump people who never even wrote a line of code into those stats too. I dug into one bootcamp's transparency report and they counted anyone who clicked a link in an email as a "student" for their graduation numbers. The real drop out rate is way higher if you look at how many people actually finish the final project. They hide behind these big numbers for recruiting but then you see the Facebook groups where half the people quit by week three. That 60% number is probably padded with people who just watched a few videos and never paid a dime. It makes you wonder if the whole model is built on selling hope instead of actual outcomes.
