Watch your coolant concentration after a long weekend

I keep seeing guys come in Monday morning and run parts with coolant that's way too weak. It lets bacteria grow fast and can ruin a whole batch of aluminum parts. Had a job last month where we lost about $800 in material because the mix was off. How often do you guys check your ratios?

Check mine every Monday morning now. Got a cheap refractometer, takes two seconds. Saved my butt a few times already.

Read somewhere that calibrating with distilled water first helps a lot.
