Spent $1,200 on a used Haas control board and it burned me bad
Picked up a used 4020 control board from a guy on Craigslist for $1,200. Looked fine in the photos and he said it was tested. Got it installed last week and nothing but alarm codes and ghost issues. Had to send it to a repair shop and they found corrosion on the main chip. Now I'm out the money and my machine's been down for 9 days. Anyone else get burned buying used controller parts instead of going factory direct?

He said it was tested" is where I gotta push back a little... $1,200 is a lot of money to trust a Craigslist stranger without getting it bench tested yourself first.
