New guys keep checking the spindle with the door open and the feed hold still active
Saw a guy at our shop in Tulsa last Tuesday reach into a VF-2 with the spindle still winding down because he hit feed hold instead of e-stop. Feed hold pauses the program, it does not kill the spindle, and that 8 inch face mill takes about 12 seconds to spin down. Has anyone else had to explain this to a trainee, or is it just our floor?
