I used to think those fancy tool presetters were a waste of money for a small shop like ours. Then we got one and cut setup time on our VF-2 by half.

Funny how that works. I was in the same boat, figured it was just another gadget for the big guys. Watched a guy run one at a trade show last year and it clicked. Seeing him swap tools and have the machine know the exact length in seconds changed my whole view. Now it's on the wish list, because time saved on setup is time you can bill for actual work.
