Hit 50,000 parts without a scrap, is it skill or dumb luck?

I just passed 50,000 parts machined on my Haas VF-2 without a single scrapped piece. Some guys at the shop say it's just good programming and setups, others claim I'm playing it too safe and leaving cycle time on the table. I'm starting to think maybe I'm just lucky with material consistency. What's your take, is a zero scrap streak worth bragging about or a sign you need to push harder?

Dumb luck is still a win in my book, man.

Read something the other day about how a lot of breakthroughs in science started as total accidents, so I think you're on to something there, @mason.paige. Sometimes just being in the game is more than half the battle.
