Appreciation post: Hit 10,000 parts without a single reject today

I've been running this Haas VF-2 for three years now and finally hit 10,000 parts with zero rejects (that's a lot of aluminum chips, man). It felt good walking up to the board and seeing that milestone number, you know? Has anyone else kept a streak going that surprised them?

Walked over to the coolant tank one time on my old Mori and found a half eaten sandwich floating in the sump. Still got 8,000 parts out of that run before I had to change a tool. No idea how the sandwich got in there or why it wasn't totally broken down from the coolant.

Tbh I gotta push back on this a little. 10,000 parts is solid work no doubt but zero rejects sounds more like you're running super conservative feeds and speeds or cherry picking your parts to check. Nobody runs that many parts without at least one tool chipping or a coolant nozzle moving or something dumb happening. Id bet money you just stopped looking after the first 5,000 and called it good. Ngl a sandwich in the coolant is gross but at least that guy admitted something went sideways.
