Am I the only one who thinks flood coolant actually slows down production on small aluminum parts?
I switched from flood coolant to a mist system on my Haas last month and my cycle times dropped by 20% because I could run way higher speeds and feeds without chips welding to the tool, so is it worth the mess of mist getting everywhere or does the cooling benefit of flood actually beat it out in the long run?

Set up a fan to blow the mist away from you and it ain't so bad.

Same here @holly_gonzalez61, fan works great for keeping the mist manageable.

@johns18 nailed it with the fan trick, I do the same thing and it makes a world of difference on my little Fadal. The speed gains from mist are totally worth the cleanup, especially on small parts where flood just makes a mess.
