Why does nobody talk about the difference in the creek behind my house over 8 years?
I took a photo of the creek behind my place in 2016 and then another one last month, and the water is way clearer now. The biggest change was the town planting a buffer of trees and shrubs along the bank about 5 years ago. Before that, rain would wash dirt straight in and the water looked like chocolate milk. Now the plants slow it down and filter it. Anyone else seen a small project like this make a big difference in their area?
