Swapped my gas lawn mower for a reel mower and it actually works better than I thought

My old mower died about 3 weeks ago, and I had to choose between a new gas one or trying one of those manual reel mowers I kept seeing online. I went with a $90 Fiskars reel mower from the local hardware store in my neighborhood. First time out I thought I'd hate pushing it but the grass came out cleaner than the gas mower ever did... plus no smell or noise. Has anyone else made a similar switch and found a learning curve that surprised them?

Wait, a $90 Fiskars reel mower actually cut BETTER than your gas one? No way. I would've thought those things just kinda chew up the grass or something. That's wild.

@gonzalez.anna reel mowers slice the grass like scissors cleaner than gas engines just shredding it.
