Spent 3 months on a heat pump rebate form, was it worth it?
I finally got my rebate check from the state program last week, but the process took forever. First I had to get three quotes from different contractors in Columbus, then the utility company wanted my home's insulation details, and then the city had to verify the install date. That last step alone took 6 weeks because their office was backed up. I saved $1,800 total between the state and utility rebates, but I'm wondering if the hassle made sense for everyone else. Did anyone else get stuck on a rebate timeline or just skip it and pay out of pocket?

$1,800 for paperwork beats $1,800 in the bank, but I'd skip the city step next time.
