Just realized I went from checking my electric bill once a quarter to checking it every week
Six years ago in Boise I honestly could not have told you what my monthly kWh usage was. Now I check the app every Sunday and I know my house runs around 14 kWh a day, which felt wild once I started tracking it. I think what changed was seeing a neighbor's solar setup in 2021 and getting jealous enough to care. Does anyone else track their daily usage like this, or am I just turning into my dad?
14 kWh a day seems crazy low to me for a whole house, unless you are running almost nothing or have panels we don't know about. My place in summer hits 40 easy just keeping the AC from dying, so your number is basically my dream. Tracking it weekly is the move though, once you see it you can't unsee it.
