My buddy in Seattle caught the same thing on his doorbell camera. He spent weeks washing out jars and sorting cardboard, only to watch the whole load get mashed into one compartment. He called the city and they basically said the single-stream system is a mess after it leaves the curb. It kind of ruins the whole point of putting in the effort.

Ugh, I read an article about that. They said a lot of places just don't have the facilities to sort it properly anymore. Makes you wonder why we bother.
