Finally hit 500 miles on my electric cargo bike this morning
I got the bike back in April for dropping my kid at school and grabbing groceries. This morning the odometer clicked over to 500 miles and I realized that's probably 400 car trips I didn't take. My gas savings alone is around $120 so far just from not doing short trips. Has anyone else tracked their personal mileage versus what you would have driven?

Nice work on hitting 500 miles! I've been tracking mine too with my regular e-bike and it's wild seeing the numbers add up. That $120 in gas savings adds up fast and makes the bike feel like a no brainer for those short trips.

Wait, $120 from just 500 miles? That math seems way off to me. I drive a truck that gets maybe 15 mpg in town so those 500 miles would have cost me closer to $200 at current prices around here. @noahcampbell is right about it adding up but I think you might be lowballing your savings honestly. Either way 400 car trips not taken is huge. That's like four months of school dropoffs and grocery runs that just never happened.
