Lost a whole week of modding because my save file got corrupted
Had a custom Doom mod almost done. New levels, custom textures, the whole thing. Then my hard drive started clicking. Tried to recover the save. Nope. All gone. 40 hours of work down the drain. Had to start from scratch on Thursday. Has anyone else had a project just vanish like that?

Hit the nail right on the head with that one. Lost my entire texture pack for a Quake mod back in 2018 because I was too lazy to back it up (always learned my lesson the hard way). The worst part is remembering all those little tweaks you made that you can't ever quite recreate. Starting from scratch is brutal, but sometimes the second version comes out even better, you know?
