Had an absolute nightmare week trying to get a Doom wad working on GZDoom 4.8

Spent three straight evenings debugging a custom monster mod that kept crashing the game. Turned out the sprite offsets in the DECORATE file were all wrong - one number off by 32 pixels made that cyberdemon teleport into a wall every time. Finally fixed it after finding a random forum post from 2016 that explained the exact fix. Anyone else ever waste hours because of one tiny number in a text file?

Check your sprite offsets in SLADE3 next time, saves you from those 2016 forum hunts.

Brought a friend over to show him how to set up his first Doom map, and he spent like two hours manually aligning every single texture by hand in the editor. I didn't say anything at first cause I figured he wanted to learn the hard way. Then he pulls up this ancient forum thread from 2016 asking why his walls look like a checkerboard mess and some dude just says "skill issue." I finally showed him the auto-align feature and his eyes went wide, said he could have saved himself a whole weekend of frustration. That's when I realized some people really do enjoy the hunt though, even if it drives the rest of us nuts.
