That $45 bench scraper finally earned its keep today

Bought a fancy stainless bench scraper back in February, mostly because the handle felt nice in the store. Today during prep I dropped it into a 22 quart cambro of pizza dough by accident, and it sank right to the bottom. Fish it out, rinse it off, and the thing is still perfectly straight with zero rust spots. My old cheap plastic one would have cracked or warped by now for sure. Anyone else found one tool that just quietly pays for itself over time?
