Update: years of eating gas station taquitos ended after one trip to El Tapatio off 5th
I used to grab 2 for $3 roller taquitos on the way home from jobs because it was fast and cheap, even though they always tasted like the inside of a microwave. Last Tuesday a guy on my crew dragged me to El Tapatio, that little spot off 5th near the laundromat, where 3 real tacos with fresh onion and cilantro cost $4.50. Now the taquito thing feels like I was paying to be sad. Where is everyone else finding legit tacos for under 5 bucks, because I need a backup spot for Mondays when they are closed?
