The taco truck guy called out my tip habit and I had to rethink it

I always tipped 10% at the taqueria on 5th and the owner pulled me aside to say that covers the rice but not his helpers, who split tips between 4 people. Now I throw in 2 bucks flat instead and the salsa selection magically got better. Anyone else adjust how they tip at cheap spots after someone said something?
