The $2.50 tamale cart by the laundromat crushed the $14 plate at the sit-down place on 4th
Got dragged to a birthday dinner at that sit-down Mexican spot on 4th last Friday and paid $14 for three tamales that were dry and mostly masa. Two days later I hit the cart parked outside the laundromat on 8th, $2.50 for two tamales with real chile on top and they were still steaming. The sit-down place has a host stand and cloth napkins, the cart has a guy named Beto and a cooler of salsa, and the cart wins easy. The worst part is I sat there chewing that $14 plate thinking about the cart the whole time. Where's your go-to cart or window that beats the fancy spots in your town?
