Pro tip: the $2 tamale cart outside the laundromat on 5th is better than the place charging $14
I walked past this guy for like 6 months thinking no way a cooler on wheels beats a real kitchen. Finally tried one last Tuesday and the pork tamale was so good I went back the next day. He's there Wed through Sun until he sells out, usually by 2pm. Where are the other spots like this in your town that look sketchy but slap?
Is it really that serious that a $2 tamale lives up to the hype though? I've been burned by too many "hidden gem" carts that just taste like regret and hot sauce.
