Hot take: that $9.99 "combo" at the gas station on 5th cost me way more than ten bucks
Grabbed the roller dog plus big soda deal at the QuikTrip on 5th and Main last Tuesday because I was starving after a closing shift, and I paid for it for two days. The dog had clearly been spinning since lunch and the soda machine was mixing flat syrup, so I dropped ten bucks on food that wrecked my stomach and made me miss a shift. I could have walked two more blocks to the taco cart by the laundromat and gotten three real tacos for $6. Anyone got a late night spot near downtown that won't betray me like that?
