Can we talk about the $2 tamale lady who told me my order was boring?

Last Tuesday I hit the tamale cart on 5th and Main in my town, and the woman running it (who has been there 14 years, I asked) said my usual bean and cheese order was "boring" and refused to sell it to me. She handed me a chicken and jalapeño one instead and said if I didn't like it, it was free. I figured, fine, $2 is $2, and took a bite while walking to my car. It was so much better than what I usually get that I went back the next day and admitted she was right. Now I just tell her "surprise me" and hand over my $2, and every single one has been a win. Anyone else got a food spot where the owner has opinions about your order?
