That YouTube repair video with 2 million views got me thinking about dust

I was watching a Louis Rossmann clip the other day and he mentioned how a huge chunk of his logic board repairs are just from dust buildup around the RAM slots. The guy said it's like 30% of the MacBooks he sees. Made me realize I've been way too lazy about cracking open my desktop every 6 months to blow out the fins on my Cooler Master Hyper 212. Has anyone else found a cheap can of compressed air alternative that doesn't just spit liquid everywhere?

Whoa, wait, 30% of his repairs are just from dust? That's insane. I thought I was being overly paranoid by cleaning mine out once a year, but apparently I need to step it up. For the compressed air thing, I actually bought one of those rechargeable electric dusters off Amazon for like 30 bucks a couple years back. It works way better than cans, no liquid spit at all, and I've just been using it on my PC and even my keyboards.

Feel you on this one. @hunt.rowan I got one of those electric dusters too and it's a GAMECHANGER. No more worrying about the can getting too cold or spraying that gross liquid all over my motherboard. I actually blew out my buddy's old Dell tower last weekend that he hadn't touched in like three years. The dust bunnies that came out were DISGUSTING. It's wild how much difference a good cleaning makes, especially around the CPU cooler. Now I'm paranoid about my own machine after reading that 30% stat.
