That $60 "gaming chair" I bought off Facebook Marketplace was just a broken office chair with RGB strips glued on
Spent an hour hauling it home and another 30 minutes taking it apart before I realized the gas cylinder was shot and the stickers were hiding cracks in the plastic. Has anyone else gotten burned buying used computer chairs from strangers online?

it's funny how we all just assume if someone slaps RGB on something it must be worth the price, right? it's like the whole "gamer tax" has made us blind to actual quality. lesson learned the hard way, i guess.

@wrenwilson nailed it with that gamer tax thing... I used to be one of those guys who thought RGB meant it was built better somehow. Thought the lights were a sign of quality or something dumb like that. Then I bought a "gaming desk" off Craigslist that was literally just a regular desk with some cheap LED strips taped to the underside. The strips fell off after two days and the desk wobbled like crazy. That whole experience really opened my eyes to how much we get tricked by flashy lights and buzzwords.
