Spent four hours chasing a GPU fan issue that was just a loose screw
My PC started making this nasty grinding noise last weekend. I tore the whole thing apart, cleaned every fan, reseated the GPU twice, even swapped out the thermal paste. After three hours of frustration I finally noticed a single case screw had come loose and was vibrating against the fan housing. Tightened it with my fingers in five seconds and the noise vanished. Anyone else spend way too long on something that simple?

Man I used to roll my eyes at people saying "check the simple stuff first" because I thought I was too smart for that... then I spent two hours troubleshooting a PC that wouldn't boot only to find my RAM stick wasn't fully clicked in. Felt like a complete idiot. That loose screw thing is so easy to miss too, especially when fans are spinning and masking the real source of the vibration.
