Spent $12 on a can of compressed air and it backfired hard

I tried to clean out my old Dell tower with a $12 can of compressed air from Walmart, but I held it upside down. Froze the fan solid and it snapped three blades when I turned the PC back on. Has anyone else wrecked a cheap fix by skipping the manual?

Did you have the computer unplugged when you sprayed it? Cause if the fan was spinning while you froze it, that's just asking for trouble.

@karenw90 same thing happened to me, now I'm real careful with how I hold those cans.
