Had to choose between a $15 can of compressed air or a $2 straw and my own breath

My desktop started overheating last week and I found dust bunnies thick as a carpet in the intakes. I went with blowing through a straw cause I'm cheap, but after ten minutes I was seeing stars and almost passed out. Has anyone else tried the lung method or do you just cave and buy the can?

Watched my buddy Sam try the straw method and he passed out cold for like 15 seconds. Woke up with a headache and his shirt covered in dust. Not worth it honestly, just cough up the 15 bucks.

I see it different though, the straw thing is fine if you're smart about it. Just take breaks every 30 seconds and don't try to clear the whole rig in one shot. Saved myself a good $60 over the years doing it slow and steady, never passed out once.

Wait and see if Sam was taking those breaks every 30 seconds like you said, or if he just tried to power through like most people do. Seems like the key difference is treating it like a slow sip versus a full inhale, which most folks don't bother to figure out. What's the longest you've actually gone between breaks without feeling lightheaded?
