Watched a 25-year installer stretch carpet with a knee kicker in Tulsa last month
Last month I was on a job in Tulsa with a guy who has been laying carpet for 25 years. I was struggling with a stair runner that kept bunching up, and he grabbed his knee kicker and stretched it in about 30 seconds. He said most guys don't stretch enough and that's why you get ripples after 6 months. I tried it his way on my next two jobs and not one callback. Any of you use a power stretcher on stairs or just stick with the kicker?
