The warehouse manager at Dalton showed me a trick with seam tape
I was at this big warehouse in Dalton last month picking up some carpet for a hotel job. The manager there saw me struggling with a tricky seam, and he came over and showed me how to heat the tape from underneath instead of on top. He said the glue bonds way better that way and you get less chance of the seam lifting later. I tried it on my next install and it worked perfect. Has anyone else tried heating seams from the bottom like that?

Hold on, I gotta push back on that a little bit. Taking cleaning advice from a carpet forum feels like getting medical tips from a guy who sells vitamins at the flea market. I mean, sure, someone might have gotten lucky, but there's no real proof behind it (and probably a lot of people who ruined their rugs). I'd rather stick with tried and tested methods from actual cleaning pros than gamble on some random person's post, you know? It just seems like a good way to waste money and end up with a bigger mess to fix later.
