The day I stopped hating stretch-in jobs after that oak floor disaster
Everyone here seems to love glue-down work but last Tuesday I had a stretch-in over old oak in a 1920s house in Dayton and it went smooth as glass, no squeaks, no padding wrinkles. The homeowner even said "that looks better than my hardwood" which I thought was crazy but it made my week. Anyone else find that stretch-in gets a bad rep when the subfloor is actually prepped right?
